Flex-Zyme is a blend of various proteases (enzymes that hydrolyze protein) from Serratia combined with bromelain and rutin for optimum joint and muscle function. Proteases support joint health by affecting protein turnover in the body, including proteins found in joint tissue. The proteases in Flex-Zyme are bromelain, papain and Peptizyme SP®, which is naturally derived from the Serratia plant. Bromelain is a protein-digesting enzyme from pineapple. Flex-Zyme also contains Amla (gooseberry, Emblica officinalis) and rutin, which are rich in flavonoids that promote tissue repair.
